Meet the Board
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.

Judy Lowery
President

Judy has spent her life educating, helping, and advocating for others; her motto is Every Day is a School Day! Her passion for supporting others transcends into helping our greater community, which is deeply rooted in the many lessons she learned growing up in a family of ten (yes, 10) children. A few values learned from a large family are the importance of teamwork, supporting each other, and that every person is worthy. Judy became involved with helping our unhoused friends in the summer of 2021 when she founded Kalamazoo Together Volunteers (KTV), a grassroots group. Dignity in Motion (DiM) naturally evolved from KTV. Founding DiM is a true reflection of how Judy embodies these teachings. In addition to helping others, she enjoys watching sunsets over Lake Michigan; which she believes is one of the most majestic and beautiful scenes in the midwest. Judy hopes that each person she serves feels seen, heard, valued, and loved.
